Thank you, and farewell

EXPM.info started in Berlin in 2016 to solve a simple problem: when you’ve just arrived in a new country, finding a dentist, a lawyer, or a hairdresser who speaks your language shouldn’t be hard work — they are out there, you just can’t see them. For almost ten years, the site made them easier to find. Back then we called ourselves expats — a word that assumed a return ticket. Not many of us really bought one.

And the job itself has changed. Today any AI chatbot with web search can find you a service in the language you need in a few seconds. EXPM did the same thing for years, but as a complex, semi-manual operation that took days.

So: thank you to everyone who listed a business, wrote a review, or found here what they were looking for. We hope EXPM helped when you needed it.

How we’re closing down

• From 21 August 2026 — no new business registrations and no new reviews.
• From 15 September 2026 — the site goes offline. Links to business pages will send you to the businesses’ own websites, where we know them.
• By 31 January 2027 — or as soon as a week goes by with nobody visiting the site at all, the domain shuts down for good.
